Production Specialist I
The Production Specialist I position will manufacture and conduct quality control testing of finished product.

Skills and Responsibilities:
- Understand laboratory concepts and perform basic lab techniques including aseptic techniques and microbial culture.
- Follow manufacturing/quality control protocols reproducibly within a specified timeframe.
- Apply good documentation practices when recording data and completing records.
- Follow production schedules to assure on-time delivery of finished product.
- Understand and comply with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to CDI business.
- Effectively communicate day-to-day activities within the Production department.
- Assist in developing and maintaining procedures and work instructions.
- Provide data or information to others in the work group and assist in implementation activities.
- Maintain laboratory standards (temperature status, inventory, routine maintenance).
Qualifications:
- BS degree in a specific discipline (i.e. cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry) or related technical field required
- Familiarity with basic principles of documentation using either laboratory notebook or batch record required
- One to two years of experience in cell culture preparation and maintenance preferred
- Advanced computer skills preferred
- Ability to work in a laboratory hood for extended periods of time required
- Ability to work with hazardous materials (i.e. chemicals, electrical equipment) without endangering oneself or others
- Ability to wear standard laboratory PPE
- Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds
