Account Manager - Midwest

CDI is recruiting an experienced sales representative with a proven record of high performance. The successful candidate will manage current business and identify new opportunities within existing accounts, as well as identify, pursue and close new opportunities within his/her territory. The territory is select Midwest Accounts (Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin). The Account Manager must live within the territory.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage current business and identify new opportunities within existing accounts, as well as identify, pursue, and close new opportunities within his/her territory.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, direct sales of the company’s products and/or services, including iPS cell-derived cardiomyocytes and stem cell-based technologies within a geographic territory of pharmaceutical and biotechnical accounts.
  • Must develop and maintain strategic account plans, and provide accurate forecasts and reports of sales activity.
  • Must be able to communicate technical information on stem cell technologies and cardiotoxicity to a sophisticated audience, identify and propose solutions to the research community.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • A BS/BA degree in biological science or related field is required. 
  • A minimum of 3-5 years proven sales experience in life science is required.
  • Excellent sales skills, including prospecting, negotiating, and closing. Superior communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Strong technical background in pharmaceutical process and drug development is required. 
  • This position requires 40-50% travel.
  • Ability to effectively maintain a home office.
